As a diehard skins fan and former season ticket holder, I agree with everyone here....I despise RG3 and he was always overrated and overhyped even coming out of college....A great example of a "system" QB who played in a "harry high school" offense and is a one trick pony...RG3 still can't read defenses, holds on to the ball too long (although this week it was screen pass left, screen pass right), doesn't go through his progressions and still back pedals too much and actually runs into defenders instead of avoiding them!...I.E. (he doesn't know how to step up in the pocket)....and this why our O-line gets a bad rep especially from idiotic skins fans who don't know shit about football....Kirk Cousins, in his limited action, has a much better grasp of the offense, is more accurate, and goes through his progressions and finds the hot read, etc, etc!...unfortunately, the thing you guys are forgetting is that we still have Dan Snyder as our owner and he still regards RG3 as the savior and his marketing boy toy...so to Sam Odom's point, I don't think Jay Gruden can bench him even if he wants too!...Yes, we are damned if we do and damned if we don't until that midget owner dies or sells the team (which will never happen)...

JJ...you are in the right church but the wrong pew my friend....most of the black players actually support Cousins...last year, both Pierre Garcon and Santana Moss both publicly criticized RG3 and made their feelings known...Garcon's exact quote..."This offense sucks!..no and's, if's, or but's about it!...and we all know who's fault it is!"....
....however, there will be a backlash from the black community in our DMV area (DC/Maryland/Virginia) because everybody in this town loves and wants to see a black QB succeed in this league...ditto for local and national media's like ESPN...and that has caused a big racial divide amongst us skins fans...I hate bullshit political correctness crap...it makes my blood boil...this is why I hope and pray RG3 suffers a career ending injury sooner rather than later...then, and only then, can we move forward as a franchise...

Just see what the Raiders did to Schaub. They benched him and let one of the toughest defenses welcome the rookie Carr.
I know its not the same, because RG3 is very popular, and Shaub was criticized since he signed with Oaklland, but as a coach, you have to start the player who gives the team the best chances to win a game.
And Carr was not bad. 20 out of 32 passes, no Ints, 94.7 rating.Comment -
Gruden's hands are likely tied for the time being. Surely he, of all coaches, recognizes that RG3 doesn't have it. I mean, he was (somewhat recently) a decent quarterback himself in a league that's all pass.
I say you start him the next three games, pray he doesn't have a great game, and then bench him at halftime in week four for Cousins.
I always feel like when a starter sucks, everyone acts like his backup is for sure the man for the job. RG3 sucks, but that doesn't mean Cousins is great or even good. Better, very likely. The answer for the Skins though, doubtful.Comment -
