Ugly small home favorites. Both Bucs and Texans are being devalued because of how they played last season but I think both win going away with solid defenses and running games and the home crowd. Cardinals played great last year and were consistently disrespected by Vegas and it has continued going into this year. Chargers continually start the season slow and sluggish and are playing on the road against a great Arizona defense.

450% more defensive holding, illegal contact, and pass interference called this preseason than last years, that a freaking lot.. i dunno whether that continues or not though?

My only week 1 play is San Fran v. Dallas under 51.5. My model has this at 47.8 and I believe there's been a bit of an overreaction to last season. The Cowboys have heard all off season how bad their defense is, so I'm expecting a great effort. Don't forget the Niners like to rely on their defense and pound the football.

My favorite week one NFL play a couple weeks ago was Tennessee (+6 at the time). Now the line has plummeted to +3.5, and although I still like the Titans, I'm slightly less bullish on them.

My favorite play is Arizona -3

I don't think the Cardinals will be quite as dominant on defense right out of the gate this year, with the loss of linebackers Dansby and Washington, and Dockett to injury, but I think the offense will make up for any decline in the defense.

The Chargers will be in over their heads in this game and my gut feeling tells me it gets away from them. If Palmers revamped line can provide protection, he'll carve up San Diego's secondary, something to the tune of 34-20.

SD/Ariz should sail way over.....perfect conditions with 2 teams that love to air it out....Both Rivers and Palmer also prone to turnovers deep in their own territory.....Bunch of big plays waiting to happen here on primetime with 2 teams that feel they deserve the limelight

Expect Arizona D to take a step back as they lost a few key players and Chargers D should get shredded through the air

i like this one too.. biggest worry is chargers really can take the air out of the ball and with cards weakened front 7 they very well might be able to keep the rock for long stretches of the game.. if those turnovers come on the wrong end (as in taking points away) could be a problem..

It's a fair point but I'll take my chances and that's all you can really do with NFL bets....Take any small edge you think you might have and go for it.....Don't think the Chargers will have the luxury to pound the rock consistently in this game as I expect the Cardinals to hit a few big plays early
