UCLA has always been a soft in finesse team and will struggle against any type of physical team

the biggest problem for ucla right now is the o-line, not hundley.

first, they need to pick up the defensive schemes and blitzes to give hundley more time.

second, they need to win the battle in the trenches to give the runners room to run.

it's the first game so we'll see how they adjust but i think it's the same center from last year that used to piss me off.

but hey, a win is a win. unlike south carolina, as long as they win these games and improve later in the season, they're still in it.

UCLA always does well against non-co9n opposition, but Oregon will kill them. Stanford also should be able to beat them. Hell, USC looked better than UCLA did.

as long as hundley is healthy, i will be extremely extremely surprised if ucla does not go 10-2 or better in the reg season.

some of you are making way way too much about the virginia game. the two toughest games are the first gm of a season and the last game.

1) ucla had to travel 3000 miles and a 9 am west coast kickoff
2) ucla was without 2 offensive line starters, one of them being their center who is probably their best and most important one
3) they took virginia lightly. va only went 2-10 last yr. but look at va roster, they have top HS players in about 3 or 4 positions on O and on D. they are much better than mike london is able to coach them to.
4) this was virginia super bowl, playing the #7 team in the country at home, virginia brought back 17 starters from last yr.


and to the USC v UCLA comparisons, are you fukking kidding me?

USC played fresno state at home. fresno was gutted by graduation only bringing back half or fewer of their starters and losing their big play guys. virginia brought back 17 starters and the game was 3000 miles away on an early start.
