"The thing that keeps coming back up is, 'Keep treating it. Treat it when it feels good, treat it when it feels bad. Don't be that guy that only treats it when it's nagging. Try to stay ahead of the pain,'" Newton said. "That's what I've been doing, and it's been paying off." Head coach Ron Rivera said the team will not run any read-option plays against the Chiefs this weekend. Newton took part in every drill in practice Thursday, Aug. 14, and Rivera was encouraged by Newton's performance in the hurry-up offense.

Home teams were 5-8 ATS so far this week. So much for that theory. Bear, you really have to start doing some research instead of telling us how much you know, and then ask 100 questions about this weeks games.
