How long does it take a veteran pro-style QB to learn new team's playbook (NCAA)?
Since I am a former basketball player and not football I do not know. I know this forum has a lot of former D1 starters and probably a some former pro's. I know at the pro level learning the playbook is quite difficult for QBs.
The reason I am asking is I am capping a wk 1 college game in which a transfer student will likely start wk 1. He is a really good pro-style QB transferring to a new pro-style system, but I am concerned he will not know the playbook well enough. He has only had a few months with it.
