I have even heard the planet Mars mentioned as far as Lester goes. And everywhere else.

Oakland going all out, looks like Hammels isn't gonna work out so their getting another big name starter. Their current rotation might not be enough to win a series in the playoffs but with the addition of Lester its a whole different story.

pretty sure you need a couple hitters to win a WS... not every team can get a miracle like the blowston tard sox last year.

The Sox can't hit for shit this season Cappin but last year their offense along with the pitching were very good! Lester will thrive in Oakland a pitcher friendlier park, just hope their explosive offense does not go backwards too far. Lester is having an amazing year this season as well just does not get the run support. Just an fyi to people like Cappin who probably just look at his W/L #'s And immediately start in with the uninformed diarrhea of the mouth!

The A's have plenty of hitting. The pitching is what they need to make a difference. A world series winning pitcher and a former teammate known on of the best in the clubhouse for morale(and no slouch at hitting either) is a good trade for the A's . Hopefully they can capitalize on it.

beane traded milone for sam fuld, wtf?!!!!

this guy is getting a bit trade happy. all i know is if the a's do not win the world series this year, beane will be scrutinized beyond belief for trading away so many prospects and young guns.

Lester is a great addition. They will definitely miss Cespedes, but Lester has the experience. Gotta think if there is a game 7, they'll want Lester on the mound.

I'm a baseball fan first, NYY fan second, the Cespedes move was great for Boston, they knew they messed up letting Ellsbury go, as their offense really suffered, their top of the order is one of the worst in MLB.
They have a very real chance getting Lester back next season as a FA on a home team discount yet, as my buddy in the Astro front office told me Letster has even said so.

Love the Prado pickup for the NYY too, they give up minor leaguer O'Brien, who even with his 33 minor league homers, would have never sniffed Yankee stadium.

Oakland, we have a problem. 0 runs so far off of guthrie. that is pathetic. maybe see if you can repackage something to boston so you can get cespedes back.

                              Detroit > Oak

Cappinpicks hit the nail on the head.. the offense has overachieved to this point

This offense won't make it in the playoffs

detroits bullpen is terrible. But all of their starters can put in 7 solid innings.

Price is good for 125 pitches every start.

Even without the error on the pop-up, runs would've been scored.
