Judge rules for Shelly Sterling and prevents Donald from appealing to keep team. Steve Ballmer will be next Clippers owner. Big win for NBA.
I hope you're happy Doc Rivers!!

This thing is FAR from over:
"The ruling in Los Angeles County Superior Court is unlikely to put an end to the bizarre saga that began in April when a recording surfaced of Sterling scolding his young girlfriend for bringing black men to Clippers games."
"Sterling, a lawyer who made a fortune as a landlord, has filed an antitrust lawsuit in federal court against the NBA and he sued his wife, NBA commissioner Adam Silver and the league in state court."

He can tie this thing up in litigation for years if he wants...period

He could sue all parties involved. Side stuff that won't stop the transfer of ownership.

The judge ordered a 1310b provision which will prevent appeals.

Yeah...but I don't think that has any bearing on State or Federal Court proceedings though

He can only get money back from this point on. Not the team.

Separately, Donald Sterling may still fight a legal battle against the NBA. However, if Sterling is to prevail against the NBA in a lawsuit, it will have no effect on the sale of the Clippers, which will already be controlled by Ballmer. Instead, if a court determines that the NBA illegally acted in a way to harm Sterling, then he will be awarded monetary damages.

Ahh...wasn't sure how the State and Federal courts could step in and put the brakes on the whole situation...when injunctions start flying you never know what happens

he bought them for 12.5M. and no, nobody in his position would want to take $2B. of course that seems crazy for us normal people but dude already is worth a few billion and once you get that much $ you don't really care what more money can get you, you just want to win at anything you do which is why Microsoft guy is paying so much in the first place. plus on sterling's side how would he not feel the team is apart of him doing it for so long.

LeBron, Paul, Rivers fukk all these douchebag spineless worms and their b.s. propaganda! Not one of these self righteous fools who know nothing about the legal system and how important $$ and power work. I hope Donald wins this shit just to dare all the "proud" idiots to stand up for their cause! Sorry maybe I sound to much like Doug Stanhope here...or maybe we are just one and the same who actually "get it"
