#40Bet small to start out, keep a record with breakdown by different bets or sports. Don't assume your special. It is almost impossible to win consistently if you don't have an edge or hook up with a top capper.Originally posted by 2holesin1Hi Fellow Members,
I am 40 yrs old and planning on retiring in ten yrs. I am in the process of buying a house in Vegas right now to rent out for next ten yrs, then living in it from Sep till the end of March Madness. I would then come home to Canada and stay here till Sep and so on. I have been sports gambling since i was 17. I do not use gambling right now as a source of income, but would love to do it when i'm retired. Any feedback on anything would be helpful or just a discussion.

#44Excalibur & Monte Carlo are the best sportsbooks if you want to drink while you watch. Bet a favourite to show for $10 every time you want a drink. You should win better than 86% of the time & you can use the winnings to TiP the server. Lose once every 10 races & its still cheaper than drinking at any strip bar. (With the exception of Casino Royal's bar, which doesn't have a sports book).
Minimums at places like the Aria & Venetian are $50+ & $100+ for ONE Drink ticket.
Odds can vary but rarely enough to justify the travel to another casino.Comment -

#47I have an accepted offer on a house
. Home inspector is going there Monday and if all checks out good the house is mine! One more step towards my mission. Remember the purpose of this house is to rent out for the next 10yrs and then live in it from Sept - End of March Madness. Any comments/ideas/suggestions are welcomed.

#48well saidOriginally posted by KRIT"Professional gambler" is such a dumb and thrown around phrase. Anyone who gambles and doesn't have a job calls themselves a "professional gambler."
Just say you are retiring, moving to Veags, and are going to gamble.Comment -
