It exists but only when money doesn't come into existence...
Its like we have become morally corrupt to the dollar and would excuse almost any type of behavior in order to have it...Comment -

Remember its only a crime if you dont get away with it (which is effectively what rice has done).
So does the punishment fit the crime?
Bottom line. The rule of law (and its consequences) is defined by how much money one has and not adherence to a crime v punishment ideal, which is what your forefathers fought for.Comment -

#23I've said this in another thread and I'll repeat it again 16 game season his missing 1/8 of it.Thats plenty. And its not like theirs footage of him actually beating her. On top of it all they worked things out after, doesn't seem like a big deal to me. Honestly I don't think he should have been suspended at all. Its an off the field incident and he didn't break any NFL policies no need for the league to punish him after he went to court for it.Comment -

#25Beating your wife is still a "but can he dance" type crime in America. There's a few of these.
He slept with kids...but can he dance?
He beat the shit out of his girl...but can he dance?
He raped a woman...but can he dance?
Given the popularity of Law and Order SVU, you would think these disgusting crimes would be grounds to blacklist anyone from the sports or entertainment world, but it isn't. As an American, it's disgusting, and I don't fault the OP, who I assume is not American, for passing this judgment. God knows we judge other countries all the time here.Comment -

#28We applaud the banishment of a senile old nba owner for racist comments, yet when it comes to any kind of sexual abuse, domestic violence, etc, we still pull the "but we don't know all the details" or specifically, in this case, "but what about his charity". Any excuse we can find to keep a dancer dancing, a singer singing, or an athlete running. I can't stand it.Comment -

#31OP is clearly just another 1 of those foreigners that is looking for a reason to hate on the US. Its a different idiot every week trying to take shots at the US and miserably failing. The 1 thing they all have in common is that they will attack the US but will never mention what country they are originally from. How about you tell us where your from so I can name the thousands of things wrong with your country.Comment -
