To those who say the O's can't seriously compete for a WS this season because of their starting pitching, check the numbers. Their pitching has gotten progressively better throughout the year, and since the beginning of June their starting pitching has been top 5 in the American League. It's actually a big reason why they are in 1st place right now.Comment -
I like the O's, reminds me of the 2003 Redsox in the sense that the team is mostly players that were developed within the farm system.
When together they become a force in the AL. The Sox still had some outside help but the Trot Nixons and Jason Variteks all coming together is what made that fun to watch. And Manny + Ortiz of course

The thing that scares me is Gausman is awfully close to "Gascan" You take out that "m" and replace it with the "u" and tune it a lil sideways and bam u got a guy names "Gascan" Almost as bad as Homer Bailey.Comment -

First the Os will have to get out of the division to compete for a title. They are riding high right now but the al east will be decided on the last week of the season. And Felix is the man , the team has lost 3/4 this week at home , he stops the bleeding and just dominates the Os. There a reason the line is -190 favored. Just like when the angels were favored -170 with weaver vs Tillman who's just been lights out on the road ... Just saying .Comment -

His WH/IP at 1.39 = league average (well, 0.08 over)
K ratio, is good
Just walks a tad too much, his H/IP ratio is 1:1, what you want, he walks too many is the problem
