Athlon has them going 9-3? I have Athlon right in front of me and they have them going 7-5. Page 84. Show me where you saw 9-3. Cut the crap, and do not try to sell me that you were accidentally looking at the Texas page across from the TCU page. TCU is NOT going to the Championship round, and I do not care what odds you claim to have received.
Who will the College Football National Championship and Why?

I Don't Think TCU Will Go To Championship Round But 600 to 1 Again Is Reserved for teams not expected to go to bowls.
LVH Chief Football Oddsmaker likes TCU also
-- TCU: “If you watch their games last season, even the games they lost, they were the better team,” Salmons said. “Against Texas Tech on the road, I think every call went against them and they played awful, but just watching the game, you could tell (TCU) was the better team. There’s not any reason not to like TCU this year. Everything points positive for them.”Comment -

#39Your best bet at hitting a long shot is to take a power program that was down like an Auburn last year and hope for a rebound.
Texas, Florida, USC, Virginia Tech, etcComment -

#40I agree. I picked Auburn to be one of the most improved teams last season. This year I would have to lean LSU.Comment -

#41ESPN and Finebaum had a hilarious segment about Jameis "crab legs" Winston today.
Anyone hear Jameis at the ACC media days? Maybe its just the narrative they are trying to mold going into the preseason but damn the kid sounds like he's due for a wakeup call.Comment -

#48UCLA crushes Texas. Texas has a very questionable QB and not much of an offensive line. Their defense is good against the run, poor against the pass. If UCLA QB Hundley gets any time at all, he can easily pass for 300 against Texas. UCLA is -8 against Texas. They may have that covered by halftime. The Big 12 is not a very good conference overall.Comment -

#49I really like LSU, Oklahoma, and Michigan St to make the playoffs, 4th spot is up in the air. I like Oklahoma to win it all.
I'm an Ohio St fan and I cant believe everyone picking them... for the first time in about 15 years I think they are overrated... hopefully I am wrongComment -

#53Florida State is favored by double digits in every one of their games. Their defense is the best in the country and let the haters hate but Winston is one hell of a quarterback. Their schedule is pretty soft as well; makes up for years and years of the National Championship being decided by playing Miami or Florida.
Not saying they win it all but they have a pretty good shot.Comment -

oklahoma, baylor, tcu, should all be very good
k-state should be good also as last years unproven team had lots of snaps to young guys
expect wva, texas, tex tech, to all surprise
7 teams go bowling and i'll say 5-2 or better in the bowl.
i know its ballsy to pick this but i believe itComment -

#55I think Oregon is the best team this year, even though they have to play Michigan State, Stanford, Washington and UCLA.
As far as the Big 12 is concerned, just who is Texas Tech going to surprise? They have three lock non-con games against Central Arkansas and Arkansas at home, and UTEP on the road. If they surprise anyone, it will be at the cost of another Big 12 team.
Does anyone think that Texas will defeat UCLA? I do not see it. They will be lucky to get past BYU. West Virginia has one tough non-con game against Maryland in Landover and a guaranteed thrashing against Alabama in Atlanta. Again, for West Virginia to surprise people, it will have to be against conference opponents. I will buy 7 bowl teams because of the very soft non-con schedule that most of these teams play, but do not be surprised if TCU stumbles again. They have no offense, and are having personnel issues on the team. TCU is finding out that they simply do not have Big 12 type talent on their roster. For every Big 12 team that "surprises", there will be one team that "disappoints". The Big 12 ranks right along with the ACC in conference power polls, well behond the SEC, Pac 12, and Big 10.Comment -
