I have watched a lot of baseball over the past 20 plus years. I have never seen anyone hit the ball as hard as he does , even in the "juice" era.

I am not talking about the long ball. I am talking about hitting it so hard it reaches the outfield wall in micro secs. He will hit for more extra base hits vs. ANYONE in the game. Personally I do not like him. But he sure can rip the cover off the ball. Can not field for sheet. But I would not want to play the infield in on this guy as an infielder.

There is no doubt Puig is a fool. The last two days showed that. O'fer in derby. Struck out three times in an all-star game, and looked like a fool on that fly ball in the first inning that went off the wall.

I am a LA fan, but I am not a BIG fan of his. What people don't understand is that 3 years ago he did not play baseball, anywhere. When the Dodgers signed him, they knew he was "raw" and needed a lot of help and training. When you grow up and play baseball where he did, you don't go anyway in baseball by walking and being an average player, therefore, those guys turnout to be "free-swinger" trying to hit everything. The Dodgers knew this; the problem was that the Dodgers are a injury-prone team that just can not avoid injury. That being said, last year they brought him up out of need, and probably without his spark, they would have never came close to winning their division. Now it is up to the Dodgers organization to make him the player they thought he was; if they don't success, that should be on them. From day one, he has no discipline at the plate, running the bases, fielding, and has not yet learned how to know when to hit the cut-off man. I thought he should have caught the triple in the lst inning, as bad as he is sometimes in the field, he has made some good catches, and he is still among the league leaders in out-field assist. And to say he strikes out 80% of the time, that would mean he could only hit .200 if he got a hit every time he made contact. Oh yes, I will take a .300 hitter every time (I do agree he may not be by seasons end). I guess to say he needs to play under control would be as good as any when describing him, as he has no discipline in baseball whatsoever.
