Jose Altuve having 1 hell of a season so far
Guy gets 0 coverage due to playing for the Astros and arguably isthe best 2b in the league right now. He leads the league in hits, and is 2nd in Stolen bases with 41 not to mention he has stolen 28 straight. Another interesting stat is he is the first player since 1933 to get 130 hits and 40+ stolen bases by the all star break. He is also the first player since 1917 to record multiple stolen bases in 4 straight games which he accomplished a couple weeks ago. Guy is definitely alot of fun to watch and hopefully he stays healthy the rest of the way.

Only reason I've gone to any games this season, well except for Sunday. Always wanted to see the BoSox in person.

He's doing "little people" proud and showing them they can dream big and make it in the big leagues, too.

130 hits already and barely heard of him. Nice start indeed.

I was hearing the other day that Billy Hamilton was 3rd in stolen bases.... I had no idea who would have more; all you hear about is Billy Hamilton. I've heard of Jose Altuve; never paid attention to his stats. Needs to walk more; only 23 bbs, but only 29 Ks also.

If your team is last individual achievements are meaningless.

Didn't get a lot of hype as a prospect plus he was buried on some bad Houston teams so didn't get much lime light. Difficult to pitch to...takes what he's given and doesn't strike out much. Will be interesting to see if the Astros extend him or trade him away as their prospects slowly begin to get called up.

Astros got a 0.0 tv rating last year during football season. hardly anyone on Houston knows this kid.

Whatever you read u start creaming. So far what I see is an average player. Every year he puts up great 1st half numbers then he fizzles out. By the way, picking winners consistently is more than who the starting pitchers are. And yes his numbers are outstanding this year. What will they be at the end of the season.

If the Astros can get a veteran bat in the offseason, their lineup will be stacked with Altuve, Springer, Fowler, and Carter.
