#38I played hoops in Metro Detroit until I was 18. 6'4" 220 lbs by the time I was in 9th grade. I played Center and Power Forward, I was recruited as a Small Forward by Penn State. I was an inconsistent scorer at best, shitty at worst, so I was not offered an athletic scholarship. They wanted to tag me, which was meaningless for me because I was a good student. I could have been accepted and gone to school there without a tag. End of the day I decided to go to SAE Institute in Nashville to become an Audio Engineer.
I was god awful at baseball. Couldn't even hit the ball. God awful at football too. In 9th grade I played Tight End but I couldn't block or catch so I got moved to defense. Floated around a bunch of different defensive positions through 10th grade and that was it for me.
If I had to go back through high school and do all those things over again, I would have never played football. I had 4 diagnosed concussions, and I would absolutely suspect at least 2-3 undiagnosed ones too. I know for a fact they've affected my personality which scares the absolute dog shit out of me.
You were asking about baseball. Sorry for ranting.Comment -

#43I was pretty close to making the LL WS. We only made the regionals in Ohio, but we lost 1-0 and 2-1 to Youngstown Boardman in a best of 3 series. They ended up mercying every team in the state tournament, beating each team by 12-15 runs each. After that was the super regionals, and they ended up 1 run away from the LLWS. They lost the superregional championship... 3-2, and gave up 2 unearned runs in the bottom of the 6th. Our team was just an All Star team from the small town I live in but we were damn good. I remember those days like it was yesterday. I played 3B and batted 2nd... my 3 best friends to this day were also on the team. We still talk about it when we get togetherOriginally posted by packerd_00Ever get close to making the Little League WSComment -

#44I was more of the guy that hung around with the Italians that ran the schools… I played briefly football and baseball and as you all know I'm very athletic as previous videos have shown and could of played pro ball as linebacker in NFL.
