#143They're playing poker now. Sick read by van hoof.
Van hoof K10
Larrabe 89
Jorryt van Hoof opened the button to 1 million and Andoni Larrabe defended from the big blind to see a 10c Jh 9d flop fall.
Larrabe checked and van Hoof bet out 1.4 million with Larrabe quickly calling as the Kh landed on the turn.
Larrabe opted to lead out with a bet of 3.35 million which van Hoof called as the dealer completed the board on the river with the 7c.
Larrabe checked, and after a few moments van Hoof announced he was all in for effectively 17,350,000. Larrabe quickly folded and van Hoof scooped the pot to move back into the chip lead with over 40.1 million.Comment -

#145Newhouse Qh9h
Politano Jd9d
Sinfelar 10s9s
Dan Sindelar had the button.
Mark Newhouse opened to 1 million and both Dan Sindelar and Bruno Politano called from the button and big blind respectively to see a 5s 8h Jh flop.
Politano checked and Newhouse continued for 1.5 million with Sindelar calling and Politano folding as the As landed on the turn. Both players checked as the 4d completed the board on the river.
Newhouse checked and Sindelar bet out 1.8 million with Newhouse snap-folding and slipping to 21.45 million as Sindelar climbed to 28 million.
What a strange hand. Bad fold by the Brazilian. This is a great spot for a squeeze on Newhouse with his short stack IMO. Then Newhouse fell asleep and let the button take over the pot.Comment -

#147Hand #44: Larrabe Turns Set on Newhouse
Posted 30 minutes ago
thkcduckworth
Level 36: 250,000-500,000, 50,000 ante
Felix Stephensen had the button.
Andoni Larrabe opened to 1 million from under the gun and Mark Newhouse defended the big blind to see a 6c 7h Jd flop with Larrabe betting out 1.1 million as Newhouse called.
The turn landed the 5h and Newhouse checked again before Larrabe fired out 2.5 million and Newhouse quickly called once again.
The river landed the Kc and Newhouse checked for a third time as Larrabe went into the tank for several minutes before checking behind.
Newhouse quickly tabled his 8d 8c, but it would be Larrabe's 5s 5d for a turned set that would see him scoop the pot to move to over 25 million while Newhouse slipped to 16.65 million in chips
Another wtf hand. Larrabe seeing monsters under the bed I guess.Comment -

#148Interesting meta game with this 30 minute delay. Now that Larrabe knows Van hoof knows he folded the straight he could use that to his advantage if the situation presents itself. Van hoof should know he's marked as a bluffer so he should be ready to extract more value from his hands too.Comment -

#150Unbelievable... Newhouse has heart but what a spew in this situation.
Mark Newhouse Eliminated in 9th Place ($730,725)
Posted 29 minutes ago
thkcduckworth
Level 36: 250,000-500,000, 50,000 ante
Hand #56: Andoni Larrabe had the button.
Jorryt van Hoof opened to 1.1 million from the hijack and Mark Newhouse came along from the cutoff. With the action on Will Tonking in the small blind, he three-bet to 3.75 million as van Hoof quickly mucked before Newhouse called.
The dealer spread a 2d 4c Jh flop and Tonking led out for 3.5 million with Newhouse making the call as the 4 h landed on the turn and Tonking went into the tank before checking as Newhouse bet out 4.5 million.
Tonking called as the river landed the Jc and the New Jersey native checked again as Newhouse moved all in for 10.2 million.
After about a minute of deliberating, Tonking announced a call and Newhouse flipped over his 10c 10h .
However it would be Tonking's Qc Qd that would see him scoop the pot to send Newhouse to the rail in back-to-back 9th places for a $730,725 payday as Tonking soared to the chip lead with roughly 48.5 million in chips.Comment -

#152Can't get over how bad Newhouse played the hand. What a "why" turn bet. Then you have to push if you want the chips on that river but he did it so fast it he polarized his hand and might as well have turned his cards up. Type of shit that haunts you.Comment -

#154You a fed or something? I know a misplayed hand when I see one either way. Newhouse would tell you he misplayed that hand. The villain is never calling with a worse hand. ABC poker to never bet all in when the only hands calling you are ahead. Not to mention Newhouse will look back and regret having the right read but risking it all on villains ability to fold a big hand.Comment -

Hand #208: Jacobson Doubles, Pappas Crippled
Posted 6 hours and 25 minutes ago
thkcduckworth
Level 39: 500,000-1,000,000, 150,000 ante
Martin Jacobson
The action folded to Martin Jacobson on the button and he raised all in for 24.425 million. With the action on Billy Pappas in the small blind, he moved all in for 24.475 million and the cards were tabled.
Pappas: AdJh
Jacobson: 5c5s
With Jacobson only 50,000 behind Pappas, and consequently at risk, the flop fell Qs 6c 5d to see Jacobson spike his set to take a commanding lead. The turn and river landed the 7c and 2d and Jacobson doubled through to 50.6 million as Pappas was left with just 50,000 - not even enough to post a full ante.Comment -
