Just woke up to a 2nd and 10th place finish out of 10k in fantasy baseball GPP
I'm on a roll in daily fantasy baseball. Woke up to an extra $1350 in my FanDuel account this morning. They were completely different lineups and I should have had 2nd and 3rd place in the tourney but I switched out Stubbs for Granderson at the last minute on my 10th place team. Not bad for a $4 investment though.

These are my 5th and 6th top ten finishes in tourneys with over 10k entries in the last couple of months. Can't remember the last day that I didn't come out ahead a least a little in winnings.

I'm about to step it up a notch and start playing head to head and 50/50's to try to turn this into a career. I've done very well in the NBA and MLB so far. Can't wait for NFL season, though I think it's gonna be even tougher even though its the sport I'm the most knowledgeable about.

Anyway, I just wanted to share my excitement. I'm off to build a few teams for this morning and try to grab that elusive 1st place spot. (Should have had it a couple of weeks ago but Justin Upton sat at the last minute and I came up .75 points from winning)

Congrats.. baseball just seems the most hit or miss out of an of the fantasy sports. I can't seem to get a winning strategy so I stopped months ago. Really wish I could get the hang of it though.

Finding the best value pitcher is half the battle on FanDuel. Find a pitcher that's gonna get you a decent amount of points without draining your salary cap. That's for GPP. Using a large amount of salary cap on pitching in head to heads is sometimes necessary. As far as the hitters, I focus on several things. B vs P splits, hot streaks, ballparks, etc..

Romocide, are you interested in being the new fantasy sports moderator around here?

This coveted position has been vacant ever since fantasy sports legend TTWarrior and SBR couldn't come to terms on his latest contract.

Lol, I'm in! I had heard that TTWarrior ate himself to death. Glad to hear that his absence from SBR is only due to a contract dispute.

Lol, I'm not just gonna quit my job with dreams of getting rich on fantasy sports but, I would like to build up to the point that it's financially feasible to do so. In the meantime, it's providing me a nice chunk on change on the side. I'm averaging around $50 a day profit off of it right now. If/when I can get that number up to around $500 day, then I'll start thinking about leaving the day job behind. Considering the win % I have on the 5 or so 50/50 tourneys I play everyday + my GPP winnings, I think it is a realistic goal in the long run.
