Jair Jurrjens will be called up to start on Friday against the Dodgers.
Jurrjens was acquired from the Reds on Thursday as the Rockies looked for some depth given the bevy of injuries to their rotation. The veteran right-hander has posted a 4.46 ERA, 1.60 WHIP, and 27/13 K/BB ratio through 34 1/3 innings this season at the Triple-A level and should be avoided in all fantasy leagues

you aint lying bruh. Lay the-1.5 with extreme confidence. Hell maybe even take -2.5 if you feeling ballsy.
This game is has 14-2, 10-0 , 15-4 written all over it.
very hot day in Denver too, maybe the over is a good play.

Cy Kersh also the hottest pitcher going 20 some innings now without giving up an earned run. Kinda hard not to like L.A. rl today no matter how square. Hate being on same side as the whole world but this could be one of those rare exceptions.

That's my biggest fear carll! Seems like every time something looks "too easy" and I jump on the public side something stupid happens. Watch the Doyers bats take the night off and they lose 3-2 and the house buries everyone and their parlays.

I like taking teams with pitchers making their 1st appearance ever. They're hard to prepare for. Latest example is Beeler for the Cubs. They wanna bring the A game and stay up.

careful here
kershaw no hit colorado recently.
extra motivation for a team that can hit. best in the league.
might not have the greatest numbers against the lefty, but can get to him
jair seen most of the dodger hitters before. i wouldnt consider him terrible as he has proved to be good in his prime. he can surprise many of you today so becareful like i said. this is a perfect game to zap majority of parlays and bets
rockies ML and +1.5 or nothing for me
g'luck

Too, look at that ospideas guy from SD. He was 1-6 in AAA, came in his MLB debut and pitched a scoreless game and won his 2nd start too. I'm not trying to "ice the kicker" here, but be weary travelers.

Jurrjens is really a gas can. He can't get strikeouts and was prone to giving up the long ball in his last outings in the majors. In his two best years (2009, 2011) he was very lucky, too. He never was a power pitcher, and since his slider started to flatten, he wasn't able to do anything with success. He gives up a ton of flyballs, which is not too good for pitching at Coors. And in 6 AAA starts for the Reds AAA team this year, he pitched to an 4.46 ERA with a .298 BAA. I took the Dodgers -0.5 F5 a few seconds after it was available at Pinnacle for 1.763 (these are decimal odds, in American odds it would be -131) and now they are already down to 1.694 (which equals -144). And these odds have been live for about only 20 minutes or something like that.

Im not betting this game simply because I can't bet against kershaw. I think the under would be the most likely to hit, but I'm staying away. On cubs early though.

They say the first game of a series at Coors is lower scoring.
Some of you guys are as sharp as a bowl of potato salad. Kershaw isn't the gas can

which book had -170? Pinnacle and 5 Dimes were never below -190 with Jurrjens listed.
If a book had -170, they probably screwed up and left up the old line.

Jar-Jar was a monster for about a year and a half with ATL, but then everyone figured him out. Random fact: guy is a super, super fast runner. He used to pinch run for the Braves all the time in 1-run games.

that's correct, SBR and whatever book they had left -170 up till about 8am with De La Rosa starting, then to -210 with Jurrjens

right, but if you bet it at SBR, it'll either get voided (listed) or they'll give you the new line (action).
