I agree with this. I thought Mitrione would beat both Kongo and Schaub. If Mitrione does win this fight I expect it to be by KO in the 1st. I'm leaning towards Struve by Sub or Decision.

MMA math factoids:
Mitrione has never beaten anyone as good as Struve, while Struve has beaten guys better than Mitrione, such as Miocic. The best win on Mitrione's record is arguably Joey Beltran. All of Struve's UFC losses (Browne, JDS, Nelson, Hunt) were to guys much better than Mitrione.

Struve has better striking and ground game. His biggest flaw is his defense, which, along with his below-average chin, led to him being knocked out in each of his 4 UFC losses. Mitrione could be the fifth man to KO the Skyscraper, but I see no reason to think that it happens more often than his line indicates. Perhaps Mitrione has made big improvements recently with the Blackzillians, but I haven't seen any evidence suggesting so. I'm fairly big on Struve here.

i loved struve at -175

plus its possible some of his previous issues with defense could have had something to do with his heart problem, which could be fixed now and give him better stamina and durability?

yes mitrione has hard puncher's chance which is always good for a big dog but thats it
