        Smart move by both parties.
The contract is basically for 3 years as Mills may not even play next year.
Spurs lock up a solid guy that is in the system now and know how to win already.
Mills wouldn't have gotten much more and may as well stick with a winner.

It was for 3 years not 4 and possible he might have a player option for the 3rd year

Spurs always getting guys to accept little money because guys are comfortable and want to play for a winner, still seems quite cheap, seems Patty could have gotten more out of them, if Parker gets hurt now he's thrust with more minutes probably tearing it up like usual but at 3 mil a year, he's worth more even coming off the bench. Warriors offered Jack more last year.

I agree with the OP... I thought Mills was gonna get paid. He's an excellent shooter and a good all-around point guard. Tony P's heir apparent.

Nba contracts make no sense to me. Somehow Patty Mills and Thabo Sefosha just got the same contract

I really hope he makes it in the NBA. Loved his game at Providence. He was unreal in the Big East tournament.

Yup, and it's the same reason the Lakers can't afford anyone.

Kobe's contract looks really bad right now.
