Giants had second and third with no outs in the bottom of the ninth, game tied at two, and the fat piece of shit that manages the team decided to use a pinch hitter that's hitting 138 against lefties and doesn't have a single extra base hit this year. That's why they lost - Romo being a loser was almost a given.
