#72She lives down the road from me in New Caanaan, where my wife is from originally.
She graduated HS 2 years ahead of my wife's oldest sister.
She graduated top of her class.
Went to Cornell after that, got law degree from I forgot where, Michigan I think.
Her home here has got to be close to 8 figures, she's got more money than God.
Oh, and she doesn't give a shit what anybody says or thinks about her.Comment -

#74Soccer will never ever catch on here to any decent degree, not while the 3 major sports are here, its just that simple. Here a less exciting game will never garner attention over more exciting sports.Comment -

MLS games drawing more than NBA or MLB isn't even worth mentioning, given there are 82 NBA and 162 MLB games in a regular season. How many MLS games are there?Comment -

#77Average attendance in MLS is 18,000+
Average attendance in MLB is 29,000+ (despite the fact that there are about five times as many games)
Average NBA attendance is 21,700 (despite playing in arenas instead of stadiums and nearly three times more games)
Whoever said MLS/soccer is "catching" these sports in terms of popularity should have their head examined.Comment -

#78Soccer will Easily be the number 1 Sport in the US 50 years from now:
Mls is getting Bigger, more Games live on TV, 21 teams instead of 14
Mls already has higher Attendance per Game than nba and mlb
Soccer already is 2nd Sport After American Football with americans aged between 12 and 24
More moms will rather see their sons Play Soccer instead of American Football because of rising concerns about Head injurys
Demography will also Play a huge role, hispanic Population will continue to explode and you know what their Favorite Sport is .......Comment -

According to ESPN only Bulls had an attendance of 21700. The rest of the teams were far below.

#81Originally posted by Dark HorseIf with religion you mean belief system, your belief system is your religion. Again, it matters not what it is. You believe in it, you are loyal to it, would defend it, and yet have no proof of it, other than that, at one point or another, you chose to believe in it. Self-hypnosis. What if there were a snapping of fingers that broke the hypnosis?Comment -

#82How did you find the NBA average attendance?
According to ESPN only Bulls had an attendance of 21700. The rest of the teams were far below.

Actual NBA attendance numbers here:
Average of 17,407, which is still much better than MLS since it's in arenas and not stadiums. And that's with NBA numbers plummeting.Comment -

#84And what is the average capacity of the venues in these respective sports?
Numbers are virtually identical, and the NBA plays in arenas vs. stadiums. When you add college basketball into the equation, the popularity of soccer doesn't even come close to holding a candle to basketball in this country -- nor will it ever.Comment -

#88For some teams you can buy season tickets with an average ticket price of 10 bucks a game, can you imagine if you could go to an NFL or NBA game for that price. Heck Id go to a game for 10 bucks even though I dont care about it really. The biggest difference is tv money though which is why they cant lure big time Euro players here. The NBA has a 960 million dollar tv contract while MLS has a 27 million dollar contract. Its growing but I dont think it will ever be really popular here.Comment -

Together, we can disrupt the trajectory of the literacy crisis and open the door to opportunity for every child.
And while I can assure you most of what Coulter writes is longer, I will humbly admit that my stuff is better written.

#99Looking at attendance is stupid. NBA plays about 4 times as many games and indoors and a much higher ticket price. Not exactly fair to compare a sport played in a 20,000 seat arena to a sport played in a 70,000 seat stadium.
If you want to gauge a sport's true popularity, look at ratings. And MLS soccer is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay below. Just like most Olympic sports, as soon as the World Cup is over, America will go back to ignoring it for the next 3 years, 11 months.Comment -

#101I love basketball as much, if not more, as the next guy. But what americans fail to see in soccer is that you don't need to be a 7 feet giant to dominate in soccer. Nor do you have to look like you just drink beer and lift weights all day. Not everyone around the world has access the amount of excess nutrients we americans take for granted. Look at messi, the dwarf that mesmerizes the world wouldn't stand a chance on the hardwood. Nor can he play any other position that kicker in football. I think soccer is the great equalizer that narrowminded Americans fail to see.
To your* next ridiculous comment about my size, I am a 6'2 ASIAN who dabbled in some football to amateur mma.Comment -
