Thanks LTP for sharing, hard not to tear up a little reading that. There are about a dozen players in MLB over the years that have stood out and Tony was one of the best.

Being a huge ball I can attest to how many d-bags frequent the diamond. I cannot tell you how many times I have stood above the dugout prior to a game only to have each and every player ignore every request or even worse, talk crap. I remember being a Blue Jay fan and being in KC to watch my Jays. I was decked out in Jays gear and their guys in the pen wouldn't even look over, even before the game. Finally one of the guys said he would toss me a ball after the 9th inning ended. At the end of the 9th (the Jays won) he walked right past me, tossing a ball up in the air to himself and whistling. He could not have made it any more clear that he just didn't give a shit.

Tony, you were one of the good ones and deserved better.
