It is a silly sport, field is too big with too many men on it, running back and forth for 90 minutes only to score a few goals and sometimes none. But I think hockey is stupid too, goal is too small with too many men on a small rink. Dont know how they fill up soccer stadiums to watch.Comment -

goals have more meaning in football than other sports. I don't under stand how people can watch entire whole basketball games? baskets every 20 seconds when the only thing that matters is the 4th quarter. how many ways can u put a ball through a hoop? lol
baseball is soooooo boring n slow, american football can be good when you are not forced to watch a commercial every minute. every sport has its problems lol
but the world cup is the biggest most watched tournament in the world where the best players all come together to compete for their country.

I agree. Just like any sports, you have to understand it in order to enjoy it. Like others said, if you think this game is boring, wait until a one-sided game in which a team only plays defense.
People complain about flopping in soccer, how about flopping in basketball and hockey(high stick flopping)? Flopping happens because basketball and soccer are non-contact sports. The bottom line is that players do whatever to win.Comment -

K13 great point how is that not accurate? Some teams barely can score tds and have to settle for field goals. Soccer doesn't need all these timeouts and commercials nonstop. Football is a great sport but I don't know how you can hate on soccer because there may not be many goals scored when football needs many penalty flags to help offenses actually score. I have to say soccer, football, and basketball are all amazing to watch and play if you ask me.Comment -
