The guy is so old, he's probably not going to live a whole lot longer. All the stress of the scandal has to be taking its toll on him as well, just sell the team, take the two billion, and live the rest of your life however you want to.

It seems like deal was rigged
I would tie up the NBA for years in court
They should just drop the $2 million fine and get rid of him.

Everybody should have, and why not. Why should he be forced to sell his property???? I didn't see or hear any players asking to be traded. More importantly, who stood @ mid-court and tore up his PAYCHECK, NO ONE !!!! LOL

Wouldn't be so sure about that. Hope the NBA organization as a whole has insurance. Would be wise of them just to settle out of court.

sterling back and forth every day doesnt help his cause. 2 neurologists declared him unfit to handle his affairs, thats why shelley sterling went and sold the team. his own sterling trust has doomed him.

From what I am hearing, the lifetime ban, as in forever banned, has sunk into Sterlings mind, and that is making him very angry, he wants (from what I heard this morning from several so called NBA insiders) that stipulation lifted (the part where he has zero contact) lifted, and the NBA said 'not going to happen' so Sterling said "OK, game back on, let's go to litigation"

So if sale gets held up does anyone see the league allowing every player and coach to become free agents?

I don't know about all that, but the players are talking boycot, which is nothing but hot air, the 100 or so with the fat contracts would be fine, it's the bench/role guys that would take a hit in the wallet if they walked, go ahead, boycot, the players would just be cutting their noses off to spite their face.
Trust me, only a select few would miss the NBA during NCAA and NFL football season, you got the college hoops game still going on, hockey.......
Except for the NBA junkie, that sport would not be missed from the beginning of November through April when March Madness ends.
And if they did come back, people would not flock back to that product in droves.
Magic, and LeBron, and the others that are talking walk out if Sterling doesn't go away are so full of shit, and even if they are not, would not be a wise thing to do.

The Clippers have already been sold to Ballmer. He's waiting for the owners to vote him in later this summer and then case closed. All Donald is doing is preparing to sue himself.

The government isn't going after him. Different rules when you are part of an organization.
