            Ok well one stat. When the World Cup was in Germany 6 of the Final 8 teams were European.

            All 4 final 4 teams were European.

            It's almost impossible to win back to back WC championships.

            Wouldnt be shocked if Chile wins the group and Spain plays Brazil in the round of 16.

                                        Lets ignore the fact that there back-line is nothing more than average - Mertesacker, Lahm, Boateng, Howedes, Durm, Mustafi - Lahm is the only world-class player there. Then their defensive midfielders are Khedira who has hardly played all season and when he did was absolutely hopeless (Champs League Final) and Schweinsteiger who is past his best and been average all season. One of their best attacking players in Marco Reus is injured, their only out-and-out striker is a 36 year old Klose.

                                        But yeah they are hands down the best

                                                even though you guys are right about Germany not being that good.. they do have a balanced team and depth and they dont have any glaring weaknesses but they may have trouble scoring. If they manage to win the group they have a fairly easy bracket to reach the semi-final against Brazil.

                                                                                With Casillas in goal they might go no where...now you know why Jose didn't want him in goal at Real when he was there...he sucks in goal and when Spain realizes they need to get him out of there the better they'll be. Chile is a quality team...and those old legs Spain is dragging after a long year might be catching up with them

                                                                                        I have an autographed Colo Colo jersey from when I was on a trip to Santiago when I was in the Air Force and a bunch of the guys from the Chilean team signed it...I couldn't pick a damn one of them out of a lineup if you paid me....but the guys were really cool when they signed it...and the babes at the hotel where we were staying kept telling us we were the luckiest guys around because we got to meet the guys on the team
