As I said in a different thread before the game, Germany were experimenting with their starting lineup and had a very defensive lineup considering the competition. They only had 3 very-attack minded players starting in Muller, Scurrle, and Reus then Kroos played behind. They had two defensive midfielders starting in Lahm and Khedira and then 4 defenders. It was not surprising that it took them a while to break down. Moreover, they could of easily been 2 up if not for the Armenia keeper Berezovskiy making a good save and defender clearing a shot that was going in off the line.

At half-time they took off a defensive midfielder in Lahm, and brought on an attack minded player who has no idea how to defend in Ozil so the game opened up and Germany played more aggressively.

If match fixing was to occur it would be the over not the under. No way Armenia can guarantee to keep Germany scoreless first half. No way Germany is gonna not score first half on purpose.
