#36No I was in Pacers +2.5. Look at my picks thread for that day. I said all along Pacers probably win Game 1, Heat win series. Although I only played +2.5 spread like a wuss.Comment -

#37That's not true at all, all Pacers will have done is hold serve at home. Heat would do same in Miami. Then question becomes will Heat win Game 5 or Game 7 in Indiana. But yeah, would be a lot easier if they just win Game 2.Originally posted by Time is MoneyI just don't understand why you play Heat @ -185 when you can play them tomorrow -140
Heat lose game 2 they lose the series.

#40Originally posted by SetoThey lost 2 straight to Indiana and 3 straight to Boston in 2012 actually. But they haven't dropped b2b games in the last 6 series (2013 and 2014)
I think it's probably the play too, I have just bet them for game 2 for now though. Of course if they lose game 2 I will bet them for the series. Basically the only thing that would truly bury me is if they win by 1, making me lose my game 2 bet as well as any chance to get a decent series price on them again.

maybe even 2-3 (+170)
im waiting until then
hopefully heat will train 1-2 and san antonio will be up 2-0
at that point Heat can probably be snagged up at +250 for title
but OKC will win 3 games this series im almost sure of it. so spurs will be haggered coming inComment -

#46People act like the Pacers were oh so close to beating the Heat last year.
The truth is they were light years away. The Heat won all the key games (3, 5 and 7) by 14+ and all 3 were pretty much over by the end of the 3rd quarter. All this with a hobbled Wade and Bosh playing like a complete and total vagina.
Now they did win the "survival" games 4 and 6 (which I bet them for btw) and do deserve credit for that but all they did was stay alive in those games. It's like saying a guy was "oh so close" to winning a set in tennis just because he held serve after already being a break down and then got pummeled on all of the other guy's service games.
The team that was "oh so close" to beating the Heat last year was the Spurs and they will beat them this year.Comment -

#47In the NBA, it's all about matchups. Atlanta was a difficult matchup for Indiana, and the Pacers obviously weren't bringing their A game at the time. Miami has issues with Indy's frontcourt, and the Pacers might finally play up to their potential and motivated. What has happened in the two series prior to this one is irrelevant. You know that.Originally posted by LT ProfitsHave you seen my past two months.
Especially the playoffs.
And Heat will not lose this series.
I don't know what's happening to you, LT. I'm not saying Indy wins this series necessarily, but to dismiss the idea that Indy can't win three of the next six games is pretty narrow-minded.Comment -

#48I'm not convinced Miami is that much better than Indiana overall. Heat are a year older, and they didn't do anything to improve their roster this season. If I had a gun to my head I'd guess the Heat win this series in 6 or 7, but I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility that they get knocked off and I really don't see taking them at the current series price as a very good bet (there are a lot of better wagers out there than tying up your money at almost 2-to-1 odds over the course of the next week-plus). And I agree with you that the winner of this series ain't beating the Spurs anyway.Originally posted by SetoPeople act like the Pacers were oh so close to beating the Heat last year.

#56The bottom line is that when both teams play at their best, Miami is simply better. Indy won in Miami in 2012 when George and Stephenson were babies and they won gm 2 last year....had gm 1 too. They're currently on a 5 gm road winning streak and I think not playing Gm 3 til Sat. could work in their favor as well. I think Miami prob pulls it out tonite but if they don't I like Indy's chances of coming home being up 3-1. Spurs win it all....def agree thereComment -

#62The thing is though the Heat never felt threatened either year, especially since they had home court advantage each season. It is a different mindset this year because, for the first time, some people are actually questioning whether or not Miami is the better team. That seems like enough motivation to me to come up big at home every time, knowing they have to to avoid having to win TWICE at Indy.Originally posted by Fred The HammerIndy won in Miami in 2012 when George and Stephenson were babies and they won gm 2 last year....had gm 1 too. How many times have they lost Game 1 and then won four straight? I would be more concerned if the Heat we saw in Game 1 shows up in Game 2, but I highly doubt that happens.
