if horse racing is dead dont go by the total parimutual handle of the Derby which at approx $135 million is much higher than the paltry $102 million wagered legally on the Superbowl in the USA ie NEvada ......

Pimlico is a very shitty track. Went in 2009 and damn it's in the worst neighborhood and comparatively the whole experience was trash for a triple crown race.

I went to the Preakness about 15 years in a row; once was a great way to spend a day, but not any longer. Pimlico ruined it.
