I'm sorry, I assumed "banning" included stripping of ownership with the NBA owning the team until a buyer was found. It's probably moot, Magic will be signing the checks soon.

O no, it's all about context. Banning in this case means an attempt to force sterling out since they have no legal grounds to do so. They will try to isolate him but all the matters is the other owners will not vote to force the termination of his team.
