I disagree about No Coin he says a lot but knows his stuff.! You are spot on about Leetreaper he is "off"" on his math...puts lines out that just were never there...IMO he knows very little about baseball...just lucky latly, I hate it when guys complain and what if's when they loose.......the BIG tip off was a few days ago (complaining again)...direct quote: 2 hits, 1 walk and 1 error = 0 points.? Is this even real?..............who in the world says points..instead of runs.!!??? In baseball.??? Not a hater but some new ppl. come in are misinformed .! Well I had my say....

This my first season on SBR thru all 4 major sports, NFL, NBA, NHL now MLB. My observations, and, these are simply one man's observation which might be theoretical at best. I find the NFL Forum to be extremely malignant. Insults after insults, troll after troll disrespecting and talking down as if they invented the sport. That shouldn't be surprising given the public's propensity to vehemently root for a team (sometimes to the point of violence) without any basic understanding for the Xs and Os of american football. In the same way people will blindly back a political group or country without understanding the fundamental political processes or events that lead to the dispute. Instead I come to the MLB forum and read well worded thoughts and debates without having to surpass the obnoxious comments. Clearly some threads in the NBA and NFL have fallen victim to the reality show type entertainment that is so pervasive. What is worse is the "4 letters" network and sports talk radio have morphed into the " Real Houswives of NY Yankees" type discussion a la A-Rod vs Derek Jeter. I remember during the Martin and Cognito episode I couldnt turn on the radio or 4 letters for 2 weeks because of this relentless assault on taking the sports out of sports.

Now that I am down from my soap box/catharsis I'll go look up some MLB stats and come back with some more winners.

Nice that you give kudos to the forum, but with the exception of a few guys, the mlb section is really bad.
Go to hockey and find some seriously smart guys and provide valuable insight.
If I didn't listen to the majority picks on this site, I would be much much better off.

I got crushed in bases this year no two ways about it. Lot of it was had so much drama this summer. Last summer was so damn easy, Fade Dempster, take Scherzer and Latos. This year pitching was awful I lost 3 or 4 bets the first two weeks on game ending wild pitches. Lost on a balk off. Lost on Dickerson falling down between third and home. Just some brutal beats for me in bases this year. Had a couple good weeks but had way more shitty ones.
