I do understand your point and I would like to thank you for actually contributing with meaningful comments while many others lack the ability to do anything but preach ignorance and post pics. I think both our points make sense and my main argument was just that I didnt think missing the free throw is any more great strategy then making the free throw. A couple people have thought this. Both situations to happen are highly unlikely but I wonder if there was a mathematical percentage that you could use on which scenario truly has the better odds(or the smarter play) my thinking would be that it would actually lean towards mine just a hair more because you cant lose in the situation. I dont think its better strategy and its an easy way to ignore what many were thinking when he missed the free throw. I guess it would of just been easier had he hit the three quarter court shot to win the game. Then the discussion would be over and he would look pretty stupid

And would he be "coaching them up" if he hits the three quarter court shot and msu loses? As oppose to harris making the free throw then worse case scenario is virginia needs to hit a game tying 3 with 1.4 left off a full court inbound pass. Only one strategy could as unlikely as it is to a loss. Does that make the strategy better? One would argue that a tie and going to ot is better then a loss. Maybe you can post another pic with lack of argument?

GoDuke I agree with you bro, in all honesty its a bad move on Izzo's part, because he put his team in a position to lose point blank. Only way you lose if he hits the FT is if a silly foul is made on a 3 pt make, which we've also seen is possible lol.

Okay, I'll try and stick with the pictures for ya. I think they will work best. Give them some time, stare at them a bit.

Strategy is a plan of action intended to accomplish a specific goal. Coaches are known to deploy strategy in an effort to win.

          Question.

          Was Coach Izzo's strategy successful.

          A. Yes
          B No
          C I'm not sure
          D None of the above.

So sad that you cant read........I didnt say his strategy wasnt successful, the argument was for the people that said his strategy was better then hitting the free throw. I argued that missing the free throw isnt better. Did it work? Yes it did but thats not what I was arguing. Next time put your thoughts down on paper, read a couple of these discussion points, edit your original thoughts because of your inability to comprehend what is going on and then maybe youll know what the actual argument is. Until then continue reading your picture books and coloring with your crayons

Michigan and Michigan Sate both screwed me with missed free throws. I thought Stokes got a terrible call on him . It should have been a blocking call.
