Yeah, lied about playing at NH. One of George's first jobs at my HS, definitely think this is shadier than lying about playing some ball.

Well, there were two things he lied about. "Three letters in football at New Hampshire", when he never played at all.

He also claimed he got a master's degree at a university that doesn't exist. "NYU-Stony Brook University"

Notre Dame didn't even verify his resume before hiring him. A few days after he was hired, someone else noticed.

Degree matters. Most schools have some sort of prerequisite for hiring. I read before, USF was something like 6 years experience + Masters or 8 years experience + Bachelors. Just dumb that the guy let it slip this long, but once you start working your way through the system without it mattering all this time, you figure you're going to get away with it forever.

I remember when George Oleary lost the ND job. Mike Tice the then Viking coach saved Olearys career by hiring him after scandal. Tice played for or coached under Oleary years before, I can't recall which.

I am more annoyed this guy ripped off the ticket broker for 60k then I am about the resume. Guy trusts you with 70k and you do him dirty like this? What goes around comes around

me too, guy proved he can coach, i was on his side until i saw this ticket mess.
