Consdering Barkley is the only other QB, they need someone. As back-ups go, not the worst move in the world if they make it. Not too many teams are going to survive an injury to their starting QB anyhow. Barkley is still too green to be a legit #1 back-up option.

He was so damn good in college too but he is just attrocious at the NFL level. Almost as bad as Jimmy Clausen.

This guy never had a chance working under that a SS hole Ryan. Not saying he's a great QB but you need an experienced backup in the nfl. Not too hard to throw 3 yard slants to McCoy, Jackson, and now sproles and watch them run
