Quicken Loans will give 50k apiece to top 20 best-but-not-perfect brackets ($1 million total) and also $1 million apiece to Cleveland and Detroit city schools (two areas where Quicken has a huge presence). Quicken gets very valuable personal info from 15 million people plus promotion for $3 million bucks, $2 million of which goes to inner city schools. Buffett/Berkshire risk insurance doesn't pay any of that, as i understand it, but they may (i.e., publicly say that Quicken gives it to make them look better since they have kind of a shady business trafficking overpriced mortgages and payday loans to poor people, but there may be some sort of split behind the scenes).

      100k to the top 20. Not 50k.

Fella's, I'm still perfect. I had Saint Louis which somehow came back from 16 down in overtime and I had N Dakota State which is about to beat Okie in OT too. What are the chances of getting those 2 games right alone???

What an unreal day for me thus far.

Oops, my mistake. Thanks for clarifying. So, $4 million total to be paid out for a lot of promotion and free personal info for 15 million people that is very valuable to a company like Quicken. No-brainer good move for them still.

If you rolled SLU + NDSU in ML parlay pre-game, about +320. However, given that SLU was down double digits with around 4 minutes left, and that NDSU had to have been about +500 to +750 live before the 3 at the end of regulation, lives odds at worst points would've been unreal. ML parlay with two plays at +750 (which i figure SLU also would've been at their worst point), probably about +5000 to +7000 according to parlay calculator.

            Nice work, congrats!

At the 3:18 TO, 5dimes had the live bet for St Louis ML at +3000 (NC State ML -7000). At the 2:14 TO is was still at +1250 SLU ML and still at +1250 at the 1:22 TO.

                            On point with you sir.

I don't know but if Lillard's bracket was to hit, I think Buffett should hand his soul over and take Bill Gates' with him. lol

Whoa, good intel! Thanks for sharing that. My numbers were way too conservative. Using the parlay calculator, an open two-teamer (which would've been necessary given that worst point for each side obviously did not occur at same time) with SLU +3000 and NDSU +750 would've paid +26250! So, $200 bucks on that would net you over 50 grand. $200 bucks and a fuckload of foresight and you get a pretty nice new car for cash!

Per this link, only 0.2% of brackets on CBS sports remain perfect after day one.

If same is true for Buffett/Berkshire Hathaway/Quicken contest (run through Yahoo), that means that about 30,000 people are still in the game (15 million entrants).
