He was a miss.....but not the biggest miss ever. Lawton's problem was he went straight from US high school hockey into the NHL, in a day when Americans were given no respect. The kid should've played juniors, or even Olympic hockey, but it was such a surprise that he was drafted #1 that he decided to grab the $$ and not risk his health in development leagues. He had immense talent, it just was never given time to develop.

Ville Lameo, ha, but he wasn't a flop because he wasn't never touted to be that good. The Sabres just assumed he would blossom.

Probably best choice here is Stefan. Dipietro had a couple of good seasons but Stefan never panned out.

He was boo'd after the lockout in 94/95. After that people boo because everyone else boo'd and they have no clue. I for one don't like the money hungry hook nosed mutt butt league most certainly has progressed.
