Are they EVER going to have a down year?! Up 30 (THIRTY!) on the road to the Bulls. Whole lot of talk about the Thunder and Durant but which team has the best record in the league? Pop has to be a top 2 or 3 coach all-time right?

All the (current) talk about OKC/Durant is more about how atrocious they are tbh.

And they lost 4 out of 6 games during their stretch with no Ginobli, parker, Leonard, green, and splitter. Two to subpar under .500 teams they would of destroyed with even a couple of those playing. This year they are much deeper on the bench. Last year their bench production without a big 3 in the game was pathetic. This year they can throw Mills, Ginobli, Beleneli, diaw, and Blank on the court at the same time and have good production vs anyone they play.

Let's not forget they dominated the Miami Heat last year in the finals and was the biggest fluke in NBA history they did not win

They look like a shoe in to win the NBA title as long as there are no injuries

Too bad they couldnt of kept Gary Neil. Its pretty much the same bench but Mills has broken out of basically no where to a top back up.

Still a hole between Leonard and Duncan. Splitter would be a good bit player but can't start for a championship team most likely.

I would think if the Spurs get home quirk that they will be favorite to win the NBA title

Gary Neal? Please the guy just shot the ball. Patty is able to get to the basket, get others involved, and score in multiple ways.

                Tim fukkin Duncan.
All that fukk had to do was hold on to one fukkin ball at the end of game 6 last year.
It all came down to one rebound basically, and he choked hauling it in.
Spurs got robbed so bad last year.
Business as usual, they are quietly still the best team in the NBA.

                  duncan wasn't in the game
Smart one. That was one of the biggest complaint's about Pop coaching. On both heat offensive rebounds that led to treys duncan was riding the pine.

Nah not game 7 dude, game 6.
Ball went right through his hands.
I'm pretty sure it was Duncan.
Although my memory is pretty awful.

Wasnt in the game for the last 2 possessions. As great as coach pop is...he choked away that game. Duncan had like 30 and 15 in that game.

Game 6 was the game that came down to 1 rebound. Game 7 was never a possession game besides briefly when the Spurs were down 2 in game 7. Game 6 after Ginobli went 1/2 making it a 5 point game with 27 sec left, Duncan was benched rest of game. I'm one of biggest Spurs fans you'll meet. I know the scenerio well.

On the first missed 3 the ball went through diaw's hands to Ray Allen back to lebron for 3. I think that's what Benny is remembering from game 6.

Amazing how they get underestimated by absolutely everyone every year. They are a threat every year and have four since 1999.

It was actually Leonard on that play. Shot was so badly missed he couldn't react fast enough. Then Wade was able to jump and tip the ball to prevent Diaw from getting the rebound.
