They are 1 seed and have brutal road to champ game. They have to play either IU or Ill in the quarters, then Either OSU or Neb in the semi's. All 4 teams could beat them.

I'll say Wiscy wins it.

UVA is awful matchup for UNC if that plays out , UVA will be in the title game vs cuse/duke winner most likely

Marq could make run to title game, I love them against Xavier and they can beat blue jays on neutral fighting for their lives

Wha? I like most of your thoughts - but WVU is a god awful road team. If they played the tourney in Morgantown, I'd give them a shot. But then again, most of the Big 12 clubs struggled on the road, so maybe you're right?


I would be shocked if KU did not come out and play with a chip on their shoulder this week, especially with a potential revenge shot right away against OSU.

I think Baylor would shock me, mostly because Scott Drew couldn't outcoach JJ.

I would have said Okie State until I saw the draw and that they might face Kansas in their 2nd game. Surely they could beat them again, but given how KU ended the season - I think Self gets them amped up this week.

If you see news on Embiid not playing for KU, I would think time to try OU or maybe a long shot on OSU because they would have a better match-up against KU if they play them again.

Sounds like KU may play it safe with Embiid's back this week and keep holding him out depending on what the docs say. Really opens the Big 12 tourney up if he is out because they lose quite a bit defensively without him anchoring things and also as a post presence some on offense.

Big10: Wisky. Other than that horrible stretch in the middle of the season, they have been very good. I think Wisky is definitely final four contender too, them and Mich St are the only two teams I can see making a run at the final four from the BigTen. Darkhorse would be Nebraska.

ACC: I think Duke bring its home this year. Big darkhorse would be NCST.

BigEast: Wide open. Nova is easily the best team, but best team doesn't always win. Haven't seen odds, but Johnnies probably have great value. I think there are about 6 or 7 teams that could win this. Stjohns/Providence should be a great game, winner probably punches ticket, loser goes home.

Big12: Wide open. I think we see a dog come out of here. Can't count on Kansas ever, too young and inconsistent and Embid is banged up. I think either Oklahoma State or WVU wins this. I think WVU has a pretty favorable path to the finals. They can beat Texas who is overrated, and then will likely face a young Oklahoma team which is beatable.

Big 10 = Michigan ST (never bet against Tom Izzo and Sparty is finally 100% healthy)

Big 12 = Okie ST (with Marcus Smart back, they are extremely dangerous and can beat anybody in the country)

ACC = Virginia (still playing for a possible #1 seed and they have all the tools to make a deep run in the NCAA's)

Big East = Villanova (just as long as they don't have to play Creighton...)

Nebraska is so much worse when not playing at home. I know a lot of teams have a drop off but they have a huge one. That team doesn't win another game this season.
