Being an Astros fan, I don't have a problem with this. I don't think Colangelo will get another GM job anytime soon, but I respect that he was honest about purposely not putting out a .500 product, and trying to get the club in a better position for the future. Its definitely not the first time this has happened.

He went on a media tour trying to back track on his "poor" choice of words...he was trying to explain when he said in the forum its tough to implement a rebuilding program and clear cap space (by killing bad contracts aka tanking) and have a coach motivating and doing a too good of a job at the same time.
