    2 way multiple
    Hi,

I am wanting to place a 2 way accumulator (I think its called a double?) as follows....

England to win the soccer world cup + Wayne Rooney to win golden boot (top scorer)

The odds for England to win the world cup are around 33/1 and the odds for Wayne Rooney to finish top scorer are around 50/1 so by my reckoning the double should be around 1650/1... however, unfortunately the bookies I have been to so far won't offer me the double as they say the bets are related! The best odds I have been offered so far for this bet are 200/1! (quite a difference from the 1650/1 I was expecting!)

Can anyone suggest a work around or a bookies that will offer me the double?

No one will offer these two in a parlay, I know this for sure..and the bad thing is if lets say Rooney wins the golden boot with 7 goals but two other players score 7 as well than your 33.00 odds will be split three way and they drop to 11.00..

I think England are terrible as well, but Greece won euros in 2004 and they had to be 1000-1 dogs back then

take this instead: Luiz Suarez to outscore the entire English team at 7/2

                          good luck to you!

I'm from England and I'm fully aware we're sh*te but I still think 33/1 is a fairly decent price for us to win it... I would have use around 25/1. And Rooney as top scorer at 50/1 also seem a decent price to me... I would say it should be around 40/1.

Is there anyway I can get more realistic (longer) odds than 200/1 for the double? definitely not worth bothering at 200/1!

you would have to actually call each book and ask if they will allow you to combine those two bets together...no one here will give you this info

Those odds are terrible, you should be paid Bill Gates' fortune if you win that bet.

we wont win it. It will be too hot and humid for us and we will use that as an excuse when we crash out in group stage!

I feel for the English National Team. I believe they always under achieve is because their teams play the most games and players do not get enough rest time and practice time for the World Cup. If the English FA would cut some of those nonsense cups then National Team migh reap benefits from that.

It's not just that. England's national team have always sucked, players don't have the same pride or chemistry in the national team such as other more successful national teams do.
