So it's okay to say the phrase "the N word" (even though it's still planting the same thought in our minds), but you can't say nigger. The problem is this.
Black people think there is a white privilege, which there may be.
However, if you want to "fit-in" and not feel "frowned" upon or whatever, then you have to act better. No need to say the N word, it's embarrassing, it's disgusting and the root of the word is horrible. What their earlier generations went through is a reminder enough.
Calling one another a N-word is clownish. It's a constant reminder to one another of the past.
The African American community does all this complaining, but still acts like "monkeys." I'm not a racist by anymeans, but I have black friends that will act "white" when they are around me, and then make me feel odd or uncomfortable when they act "black."
I feel like they have to live up to par from the rap-music, the hatred, or whatever it may be, needs to be let go.
I'm a firm believer it's from a lack of education and that the lower poverty areas need a change.

I don't believe for a second that white players are using the n-word at all during games. If they are, the recipient of the slur would complain and just the mere allegation of it would make ESPN headlines for months on end.
I remember back in the 90's a Utah Utes basketball player was accused of using a racial slur and it made major headliines - and this was in a day and age when things were not quite as ridiculously sensationalized as they are today. This was when Rick Majerus made his famous pledge to resign if the accusation turned out to be true. Of course, the accusation was 100% b.s. but it didn't stop the entire sports world from talking about it incessantly.Comment -
