And it's going to be Durant... There's almost no debate. Odds are like -600. You can get +400 or more on LeBron at some shops.

Durant....and even if James deserved it...the NBA has a history of making sure the award goes to different stars in the league...new blood this year.

And for now Durant has edged him too. But even if LeBron has an unreal end to the season I can't see Durant not getting it and books wouldn't be giving out +400 on LeBron if he was gonna win.

He'd be playing the scrubs from the Eastern conf (other than Indiana) in the second half while Durant will go up against the Clippers, Blazers, Rockets, Spurs etc and as a result will have more bigger games which obviously helps the MVP case.

This a no-brainer. Although James is the best player on the planet, Durant has had the better season thus far. In their last battle, Durant destroyed Miami. Answer = DURANT

I'm just calling it as it is. You are the most clueless person on this site. And that's an achievement. If SBR ever gets rid of you, Big Bear and Smoke it will be a major step forward for the forum. But it won't happen as you 3 generate traffic which is appreciated by some.

I would like to see Durant get it but I think James will. When Westbrook comes back, there will be a change in Durant's game. OKC needs to hold the #1 seed and Durant needs to have more highlighted/memorable/clutch moments for the second half of the season for him to win it.

Don't worry bud, Durant is a big favorite to get MVP. Westbrook will bring down Durant's scoring a little but LBJ is a full 5 ppg behind halfway thru the season, that's a hell of a lot to catch up to. And LBJs other numbers are obviously good but not all that noteworthy compared to his career averages. This is Durant's year. Everybody wants to give him MVP. It's his award to lose -- he'd need to have a pretty noticeable slump not to get it, or LBJ would have to start playing out of his mind for a long stretch
I personally guarantee Kevin Durant wins MVP this year

I would also give Durant a very small edge. He is more lethal.
