Doug Williams won as a black starting quarterback, but it wasn't his team for the entire season. He split a lot of time with Jay Schroeder.

probably because his overall numbers are decent but not great...Very similar to Joe Theismann career in terms of stats, production, Yds, TD's, etc....Funny thing is that both Theismann and Plunkett have numbers that are every bit as good if not better than Joe Namath's!...and yet he's in the HOF?!...why?...his career was mediocre as well...he's just known for his guarantee and is basically famous for being famous.
