Tonight looks like the night Wichita State finally goes down

In fact they might even get pasted. It's not that I don't think they are a good team - I think they are excellent. But they are not without flaws and a team can only skate on thin ice so many times before it finally bites them in the ass.

Multiple times this year the Shockers have fallen behind early, often by double digits. Indiana State is a quality team and if they jump out to an early lead, I fully expect them to maintain it. Obviously this is a huge game for both teams because there are conference standings implications for both but it's bigger for the Sycamores as not only do they have the opportunity to knock off the undefeated #4 team in the country, but a victory would also go a long way toward their tournament aspirations.

I love Indiana State here to pull off the upset. Even with the MVC down this year, this conference has notoriously been very competitive and the Sycamores are more than capable of winning this game with their balanced scoring attack.

Of course Indiana State could cover and could win straight up, but it's a pretty big gamble based on what I've seen from both of these teams (watched them play quite a bit). Hard to say what kind of effect the travel trouble will have on the Shockers, but from a pure personnel standpoint, ISU doesn't match up.

I think Indiana State's last win at UNI gave them a bit of confidence boost they needed. Again, this game could go either way. I just like the fight of Shockers a little better and think they pull away late for a 4-5 point win.
This may be the hardest game to cap among all Valley games so far this year. And if you don't know this conference this season, the unexpected happens almost nightly.
