#7should have been big score for books. the total hitting the tease window didnt help them, neither did the safety.Comment -

#9A lot of suckers out there. Don't you learn by high school that a #1 defense always beats the #1 offense. I'll admit, Peyton's record year and overall career (I still consider him GOAT) had me a little anxious about betting Seattle. But when you factor in EVERYTHING, it was a no brainer.Comment -

#10The books effectively gambled on this game themselves with how they handled the line movement. They did not cave when the Denver money came pouring in. They were not seeking to balance the money out. They put their chips on Seattle and were confident it was the right side. They were correct.Comment -

#15Congrats books.. they should have moved the line to 3 or 4 and put the seahawks at -125. That would have made more sense than den -1 -125. I dunno.Comment -

Yes, they did - as usual. The best thing to do in most cases is to bet against the public.Comment -

#26Originally posted by stepanekslipsSo what odds did you get on winner of the coin toss?
winner was -105 on both teams
my local didn't want to give plus odds on those .. but he did have higher + odds on some big numbers
safety in the game i saw was +550 and he offered +750
Super Bowl decided by exactly 7 points i saw online was +750 and my local offered +900
overtime i saw was +600 and he offered +700
didn't play any of those thoughComment -

#28The books in Vegas had a bit more money on Denver and the Under, but would have made a profit none the less. This is why the line never moved during the last week of action. Everyone seemed comfortable with the 2 1/2 point spread. Now we can get rid of the air bettors in here and concentrate on 2014. Just a reminder to those who said that they would stay out if Denver loses. We do NOT want to see your a**es in here again. Got it?Comment -

Not many were positioned to take advantage of a Denver offensive melt down.Comment -
