Agreed. He'll play for someone to sell a few tickets, and then say "hey I did it."

I was was surprised to hear he was actually throwing high 80's.

The Sugarland Skeeters invited him to spring training. Their manager, Gary Gaetti, is "intrigued" by his improvement. McGrady did play baseball until his senior year in high school.

Last month I read an article where McGrady basically said he knows he has no shot at MLB

(and no shot at affiliated minor league ball even IMO)

he basically just wants a hobby/outlet for his competitive nature and make an independent ball team.
