It was -5 @ furd, and I think Cal is a much more talented team. Cal doesn't have the size of Furd, but they have much better depth.

As soon as Furd went to the bench, they significantly worsen. Might be the worst depth in a major conference.

So, if it was -5 at furd, and Arizona failed to cover, why should the line be higher against the presumed better team?

All that matters is March/April. Doesn't mean shit if you go out before the final four. Every year we see a team dominate conference play and then exit early. I do like AZ a lot though, Sean Miller is probably a top 5 coach in the nation. Very underrated.

It's two fold. You can't focus entirely on the destination when the journey is this much fun.

It was final four or bust coming into the season, nothing has changed with our phenomenal record or start. It's still final four or bust. It's good seeing them do what they need to do up to this point and beating whoever is in front of them, so I wont discount it.

I'd much rather Arizona be taking care of business in route to a final four, than be stumbling along the way or look like teams like OSU or Kentucky or all the other teams that have stumbled so much in regular season play.

I grew up to the guy it seems, and I loved his 90's teams. He landed a ton of talent in the 2000's and failed to do anything with it. He built Arizona, without a doubt, but count me in the group that is glad to see the days of early round exits on the backs of NBA talent gone from this program.

Miller is, so far, a great tournament coach that seems to have his team peaking later in the season.

Lute led the nation in most NBA draft picks and only had 4 final fours and a single national title to show for it. It was fun, but I am glad to see Arizona take the next step.
