In the Super Bowl, no number is garbage.

I got in a $200 a square pool with one of my friends back when the Steelers played the Cowboys in 1996. The quarter numbers were the same for each quarter and didn't change every quarter. It was one of those quarterly and flip score ones. Pay out was $1,500 a quarter and $500 for the flip score and the final score was $5,000 and $2,000 the rest of the money paid for the party. we had 2 squares with shit numbers. 8 and 6. We fond out later that the numbers were fixed instead of being randomly picked. One of the people that won didn't even exist and was made up(I think he won the second quarter with a 7 and 3). Everyone that won and had 7's, 3, and 0 all were involved with setting up the poll in some way. Granted a safety would have changed everything, but of course the odds of that happening are against it.

I won a grand on the Packers/Steelers final score.

You'd think 1 and 5 isn't a good combination. Worked for me that day.

Your better off investing in the lottery, football pools are sucker bets. I never waste my money on that.

Football pools are good fun especially for Super Bowl. Little something extra to pay attention to. I always play a few. Usually smallish. Last year I laid down $500 for a square in a pool with quarterly payouts. Pool run by the local bar. Never put that much on a square before.

My 1st quarter points were Bal 7 SF 3... BINGO! $10K. I was watching the game at the bar that sponsored the pool and it was a riot. Of course I had to buy a few rounds of drinks.

I won with 0 and 0 first quarter of the national championship game with Auburn /Oregon.

Who would have thought that would have been a scoreless first quarter ?

I have a total of six squares combined in two pools. Not one good square!
