#4He is going to graduate early, so he an play for whoever takes him. When he realized that the QB competition in the Spring would be between Kessler and Red Shirt Freshman Ma Browne, he decided to leave. He may as well. Unless a huge rash of injuries hit, he was 3rd string all the way. Some think that Browne has the edge. He has more talent and Sark seems to favor him.Comment -

#7kiffin sacrificed the offense by platooning the qbs to keep wittek from transferring. had he benched his sucky ass from day 1 he might still be the hc.Comment -

#10i've followed him since HS and i can tell you he will end up having a nice two years playing somewhere else and will get drafted.
mark that down and bump this thread during the NFL draft 2016 and you'll see i was rightComment -

he'll go undrafted after spending most of college helping opponents win.Comment -

#14Wittek does not have the arm. Browne does. That is why Browne is competing for the #1 starting spot and not Wittek.Comment -

#15you guys are forgetting that he played for lane kiffin. kiffin ruined matt barkley. wittek is not a star but in the right situation he can play well and get a look from the pros.Comment -

#16max browne was a top 3 HS qb the year he came out according to all of the top recruiting services. max browne would be competing for the #1 spot at almost any school in the country this fall.Originally posted by BigdaddyQHWittek does not have the arm. #17Eactly, and that is why an average at best QB is transfering out. Wittek is very unlikely to get a serious look from the pros.Originally posted by homie1975max browne was a top 3 HS qb the year he came out according to all of the top recruiting services. max browne would be competing for the #1 spot at almost any school in the country this fall.Comment -

#18we'll have to see how it plays out. he's 6'4" 235 and was rated as a top 5 HS qb the year he came out, by many recruiting services. when he took over for Barkley at the end 2012 the team was a mess under Kiffin, that is obvious. 7-6 final record says it all. then the team was a mess to start 2013 and kiffin was fired. tough to dispute that. point is he did not exactly have the best tutelage.
i'll go on record and predict that he'll get drafted by the NFL. whether it will be the 2015 or 2016 draft depends on whether he uses both years of his eligibility.
believe me, i'll be here to bump this thread if he gets drafted just like you will be if he does not. i'm just very surprised that so many of you are ready to write off a prototype looking qb when he clearly played for a shitty coach, a coach who helped barkley descend from possible overall #1 pick down to the 4th roundComment -

#19homie, I agree Wittek could be a productive college quarterback in the right situation.
The kid should be camping on Mike Leach's doorstep (Wash St.) With Leach's coaching and offense...it would be a win/win for both.Comment -

#20Wazzu might be a good call. the moment the kid graduates in May he'll have numerous big time college coaches reaching out to him based on his potential alone. again, 6'4" 235, top 5 HS QB recruit by many recruiting gurus, good enough to earn a college scholly at USC and took over after barkley got hurt (kessler was also available at the time but wittek got chosen) and was just in a bad situation trying to beat ucla at the end of the game and then having to play vs georgia tech in the bowl that no one cared about. then he platoons to start 2013 when neither kessler nor wittek were doing shit at qb until ed orgeron took over and made kessler the number oneComment -

#24Very little potential. He simply does not have what it takes upstairs. Just look at his stats. They were just terrible. Remember that any team from a Conference other than the ACC, Big 10, Big 12, PAC 12 or SEC has a very small chance of getting into a good bowl game. He will want to go to a school in one of those 5 conferences. If he is smart, he goes to a school that does NOT play USC this season. Washington is his best shot. They do not play USC. Arizona does, but always takes USC rejects, none of which do real well. No one else in the Pac 12 needs a QB this season.Comment -

#26why is it he can transfer without having to sit out a year?Originally posted by LT ProfitsWill be eligible to play immediately wherever he ends up next season.
for other college sports they make u sit out a year and often times the coach has the right to refuse to let you sign for another school in the same conference...Comment -
