Coach Tibs is a maniac, he will coach the bulls to good record even with the front office trying to tank into the lottery

Why is this a surprise?
Business as usual in the Tibby-Dough camp.
Best coach in the game behind Pops.

I said it before in the other thread, he was very good in Tibb's great system. He's not the same on another team in another system.

Damn, I thought I'm the only one who see this. Irving and Paul are two of the most overrated players in the league. I dunno what others see in them. And Irving is also starting in the All Star game .

If the Bulls wanted to tank they needed to get rid of Noah.He is the heart of that team not Deng.

Good point, but more than tanking I think they want to keep a few guys. Noah included to be their nucleus

They didn't want to tank. That's not what the trade was about. It was the fact that they knew they weren't going to be able to sign Deng and didn't want to lose him for nothing just to play out the string in a season where a title is not possible. So they saved themselves $20+ mil by setting back the clock on the repeater tax and got draft picks. They had to do it really. They will reinvest that money by amnestying Boozer.
If they wanted to tank they wouldn't have picked up DJ Augustin and traded Marquis Teague.

Long way to go in the season. Bulls still need people to fill the seats. Even if they are season ticket holders. Just cuz he's still on the team, doesn't mean they wouldn't move him. People aren't going to come (esp in the winter) to see a head coach.

Extremely unlikely they trade Noah. Like Archie said, they see him as part of the core. And for whom? If Minnesota says Kevin Love for Noah, I guess maybe. Or Portland for Aldridge. But it's extremely unlikely. They aren't trading players just to trade them. There was a pretty obvious specific reason they traded Deng in the last season of his deal. Noah still has 2 more years left on his at 11m per.
And the trade deadline is only 3 weeks away.

I think Dunleavy and Hinrich will be the only ones traded, probably right before the deadline. Hinrich because why not if they can get anything for him, he's an expiring contract. Dunleavy because while his salary is not bad, that would free up another $3 mil to make a major signing in the offseason if that's what they have in mind, and he's certainly not irreplacable. I certainly think there would be a market for Dunleavy as an extra piece on a good team to make a playoff run and that he could maybe get back an expiring contract and a draft pick.

The Cavs are not trying to tank. They are just a terrible organization with a terrible coach. They had the #1 pick last year and completely blew it. That player was almost sent to the D-league. Pretty sad franchise.
Meanwhile Thibs throws bodies on the floor and wins games.

Cavs simply tanking once again for the lottery. Useless to make the playoffs and get bounced in the first round. At this point their an auto fade for me until books adjust

did say bennett would be one of the biggest draft busts of all time. 1 double digit scoring game in 34 games? sheesh this guy makes hasheem thabeet look like kareem in comparison.

in the nba there are what only 5 good coaches in the league? and all the others still have a job because their players have that much talent. Case in point.. Scott Brooks...worthless coach..

You have to be "rated" in the first place to be "overrated".

Well judging by the teams who have done well with the pieces they have... I'd say the following guys deserve a mention
Gregg Popovich
Tom Thibodeau
Jeff Hornacek
Rick Carlisle
Frank Vogel
Dwane Casey (I thought the guy was an idiot last year but gotta say this team has literally surprised everyone, some credit has to go to him)
Steve Clifford
Terry Stotts
Mike d'Antoni (no joke that team should be like 10-49 given the amount of injuries)
