no need to explain why neither guy should even be on reserves. I'm not sure what his exact numbers are but I'm certain John Wall is having a great season from everything I hear about him. He deserves to be starting without a doubt here. And looking at the West team how is Lamarcus Aldridge who is having a great season not starting? Of course these players will be selected as bench players but simply put the starting positions are nothing more than a popularity contest at this point and in future references will probably be meaningless when comparing 2 players.

Exactly. It should be held according to stats and factors. I'd rather see a good game with the best of the best then a mediocre one with players who are far behind the eight ball in comparison to others.

Kobe not generally known for displaying much class. But I heard this morning he made an UN-Kobe like move and is sitting out while acknowledging he does not belong. Good for him and like it's been mentioned these games are not lifetime achievement awards. Nice of him to step aside and let someone play who has earned it.
